ATTIC’s launch party was held on June 4, 2015 at Miss Pixie’s in Washington, DC. Attendees included owners and staff from many of the area’s used and vintage furniture stores, as well as professionals from the real estate, interior decorating, design and fashion industries. Journalists and bloggers were also joined by a total of approximately 150 other supporters.
Bentley’s Vintage Furniture, a great little shop located on one of DC’s fastest re-developing blocks (Upshur St NW), is now the fourth Petworth-based vintage and antique furniture store listed on ATTIC.
Please join us in welcoming UniquebyRuth as the latest addition to ATTIC. UniquebyRuth is the furniture restoration and beautification business of Ruth Gamarra, who operates her local online business out of Fort Totten DC. Her work includes the restoration and custom painting of a variety of mostly wood furniture items.
Days before its Launch Party and the full public unveiling of ATTIC, the website is already proving itself valuable to local stores. Trohv recently notified ATTIC that they sold this distressed wood dining table at their Takoma DC location to a couple that first spotted the item on ATTIC.
DCist.com has just listed ATTIC’s Launch Party as a featured event for the week. This fun and unique event will celebrate local, independent businesses and our launch.
